How to clean hairbrushes and other hair products
If you find head lice, then you need to clean your hairbrushes and other hair products that may have come into contact with them.

TL;DR
Wash hairbrushes, combs, and hair accessories in hot soapy water (at least 50°C) for 10 minutes. Lice die within 24–48 hours off the scalp, but cleaning removes eggs and reduces reinfestation risk.
How to clean hairbrushes
Soak brushes and combs in hot soapy water. Use a toothbrush to scrub between bristles. Rinse and air-dry. Metal combs can be boiled briefly. Avoid sharing brushes and combs during an infestation.
How to clean hairbands and scrunchies
