Description

Nix Creme Rinse is a sensible option for households that want a traditional OTC permethrin route and feel more comfortable following a long-established label with clear timing, age guidance, and repeat-treatment instructions. It makes the most sense when live lice have been confirmed and the family is happy to comb properly afterwards.

It is less attractive for parents trying to avoid insecticide-based products or for households that want a no-comb or single-step routine. This is a more structured, classic treatment pathway rather than a minimal-effort option.

Pros

  • 10-minute application time is clearly defined
  • Suitable from 2 months and older according to the label
  • Nit combing is built into the official directions
  • Clear repeat-treatment guidance if live lice remain

Cons

  • Not the best fit for families avoiding insecticide-based products
  • Requires careful comb-out after rinsing
  • Ask a doctor before use if allergic to ragweed
  • Do not use on lice in eyebrows or eyelashes

How to use

  1. 1.Wash hair with a shampoo without conditioner, rinse, and towel dry so the hair is damp but not wet.
  2. 2.Shake the bottle well and completely saturate the hair and scalp, including behind the ears and at the back of the neck.
  3. 3.Keep the product out of the eyes and leave it on the hair for 10 minutes, but no longer.
  4. 4.Rinse with warm water.
  5. 5.Towel dry hair, comb out tangles, and remove nits with the provided comb while the hair remains slightly damp.
  6. 6.Check again after seven days and give a second treatment only if live lice are seen.
